Haspa Marathon 2018

On the occasion of the 33rd HASPA MARATHON in Hamburg the VHT team mastered its first marathon within 4h 12min!

Welcomed by beautiful sunny weather and thrilling atmosphere amongst spectators and all participants, taking part in this event as one of the 18 Kids&Friends Charity relay teams was a real treat!

The Kids&Friends Charity is funding social welfare projects for unprivileged kids to encourage them in revealing their full potential, projects like the Schoolhouse Novel, Coolness Training, tutoring programs and various others. Impressed by their dedication we were very honored to join their team.

For the K&F teams the event started with a pasta meal on the eve of the marathon, where supposed last details were settled. Next morning at the opening event we took photos and final instructions right before starting off at starting point TV Tower. Always with a sly smile on their lips the foundation members were showing nerves of steel - even in the biggest chaos! Chapeau!

So well-cared-for we could almost run like lightning and finish exhausted but happy. It was pure fun and whetting our appetite for more!

By the way, the fastest single runner finished after 2 hrs. 6 min. Once again: Chapeau!
